Siegeworld.com patrons, In case you haven't noticed there has been some pretty significant downtime for this page over the past few days. My computer has been having some serious power issues. Hopefully it is resolved (I moved the page over to a backup computer). I apologize for any lost content (shouldn't be much lost).

overfiend writes, "Not a rules set I was expecting to be superseeded, but Forgeworld has relased the Leman Russ Annihilator which carries the same armorment as the Siegeworld custom of the same name. The Siegeworld rules are thus superseeded by the Forgeworld rules."

Overfiend writes, "As some of you may have noticed. Forgeworld has released Beta rules for the Gorgon, as offical rules, the ones on this site are now superseeded.
However, the Forgeworld Gorgon is a superheavy, while most of the prior converted Grogons I've seen (including my own) clearly is much smaller. The current "Gorgon" rules will be revamped into a new vehicle. Ideas for names can be discussed on the forums if you have them."

siegeworld.com will be unavailable for a (hopefully) short time beginning this weekend, May 27. Reason is the server is making a physical move. Hopefully this will be a minor inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

The Siegeworld 2006 photos are ready for your viewing pleasure as "Chapter 4" in the Photo Gallery.

Overfiend writes, "until landing.
Get those last models painted and those army lists finalized. And let's hear some fluff on the forums.
Please try to arrive as close to 9am as you can. I will probably be there early to start setting up but based on prior years we may not be able to get into the building until right at 9. Please bring an army list with you and know all the types of forces you are fielding and your TOTAL points value so I can set up teams early.
lunch WILL NOT be provided this year, there will be a break in the fighting for people to go raid nearby fast food."

Just wanted to let everyone know that I (webguy) have had some major network issues at my home (mainly a router crash). This has led to this page not being available at times over the past couple days. These problems should be over. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Overfiend writes, "All the 2006 rules are up. Files are now all in PDF format to hopefully eliminate the download and read problems people had with the Word docs.
Pretty much EVERYTHING has been updated, in some cases significantly, due to feedback throughout the year and help from other megagamers (thanks to the Yahoo Megagamers and Gargant Owners Klub Folks for ideas). Therefore, please get the new rules for the units you use to avoid confusion.
There is also a lot of new stuff in the Rules, and a number of the rules are now in new locations (e.g. stompas and great gargants are now together (along with a bunch of new stuff) in the Gargant big mob - IG recon forces are now a unit add on list instead of a true "army list" (althoguh you can still make a recon army) etc.) There are also a number of completely new items, from units like the Imperial Stormhammer, and the Medical Teams, to armies like the Knight Households and Arbitrators. A few things were also taken down. Generally this was done to update them (Ork Bowelburnas and dragsta/speedstas are becoming parts of new ork lists for 2007). If people will need these rules for 2006 please let me know ASAP and I'll put a temp file back up. The Grey Huscarles will reappear as soon as I find the original file so I can get a better version becuase the old scan didn't look too great. The Space Wolf Dreads were simply unlikely to be used this year and were thus low priority for updates and probably won't come back till after Feb.
One other item. Under the main rules you will now find the history of Artemis IV. Those old timers here may remember the storyline (since discontinued) of Siegeworld. This background is a new "why we fight" to provide for a more universal story that will hopefully develop into more fluff (written by you all) in the future."

Overfiend writes, "We will get a more formal announcement up as soon as I corral the webguy. But until then:
Siegeworld 2006 is Saturday January 28, 2006 9am to 9pm
University of Missouri - Saint Louis (UMSL) Millenium Student Center, Century Room A. USA
Lunch may be provided (that's still up in the air).
The big news for 2006 is that this year its FREE

Overfiend writes, "Can anybody feel the ground starting to vibrate. Like maybe under the steps of gigantic war machines...
And is that the groan of diesel engines being spun up to full speed on armored vehicles...
Watch this space..."
